Ideal Startingpoint for cycling-tours

Cycling is healthy and fun. If you can also cycle in a charming vacation region, biking becomes a special experience.

Our hotel is the ideal starting point for cycling tours, because it is located at the end or starting points of the Moselle and Lahn Valley Cycle Paths. The Rhine cycle path runs nearby.
If you like pleasure cycling, you can simply combine the traffic routes, take the cable car to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, for example, and then cycle quite comfortably downhill back to our hotel. By the way, this tour leads past many Koblenz sights, such as the Koblenz Castle, the Wine Village or the German Corner.

THE MOSEL CYCLE PATH ENDS RIGHT ON OUR DOORSTEP.

On 248 kilometers from the source to the mouth, sometimes close to the water, sometimes in the middle of nature, sometimes urban, sometimes mysterious and sometimes quite spectacular – the Moselle Cycle Path takes you in loops to your destination.
Past countless wineries and world-famous vineyards, it leads from Perl, to where the Moselle flows into the Rhine in Koblenz. You cycle through medieval wine villages, past ancient sites and impressive castles.
On mostly asphalted routes, separated from car traffic, the bike path runs mostly level and without ascents, so that even recreational cyclists can tackle the route without difficulty.

THE RHINE CYCLE PATH – CYCLING IN THE UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

From its source in Switzerland to its mouth in the North Sea, 1233km of cycle path lead along the Rhine. About 328km of the cycle path leads through Rhineland-Palatinate and thus through the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley, past castles and palaces.
Koblenz, by the way one of the oldest cities in Germany, is right in the middle of it.
Start at our front door and cycle as long as you like. Since the Rhine Cycle Path is always close to the railroad line, you can always return by train.

OUR HOTEL OFFERS WITH ITS LOCATION THE IDEAL STARTING POINT FOR YOUR DISCOVERY TOUR.

Stolzenfels Castle, Lahneck Castle, Marksburg Castle, Sayn Castle and the castle of the same name, are ideal destinations for relaxed day tours. We will gladly provide you with a packed lunch for your tour.

THE LAHN VALLEY CYCLE PATH

245 km of cycling fun, from the source in the Rothaargebirge to the mouth of the Rhine at Lahnstein. You start in front of our house and after approx. 7km you are already at the mouth of the river Lahn. Let the river slow you down and enjoy the varied landscape.

THE WESTERWALD-RHINE CYCLE PATH

If you want to discover the Westerwald from the Rhine on a cycle path of about 72 km, you need to be in good shape. From Koblenz you cycle along the Rhine cycle path and cross the river after a few kilometers to start your journey of discovery into the Westerwald at Sayn Castle.
